Eva R. Parker, MD, DTMH, FAAD

Dr. Eva Rawlings Parker is an internationally-recognized climate change expert who actively publishes, lectures, and speaks on topics related to the dermatologic effects of climate change and the intersection of climate change and global health.

Dr. Parker is a board certified dermatologist, Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Core Faculty in the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Society at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She is a staunch advocate for health care sustainability and actively promotes climate justice in health equity as well as broader education on the health impacts caused by climate change. She also brings over two decades of experience as an academic physician, private practice owner, and physician extender trainer and supervisor to provide expert witness testimony to complex dermatology-based cases.

She actively publishes, lectures, and speaks at regional, national, and international meetings.

Dr. Parker is available to speak at your event on a range of topics related to climate change, dermatology, and health. From the dermatologic effects of climate change to tropical dermatology to the business of medicine and monkey pox, Dr. Parker is an internationally-recognized expert in the field who draws upon her decades of experience and extensive hands-on training. She makes every effort to tailor each talk to the specific audience and region whenever possible in order to make the information as impactful and meaningful as possible. She is available to speak virtually or in-person anywhere in the world and travels from Nashville, TN, USA.

Dr. Parker brings over 22 years of medical and aesthetic dermatologic expertise to the medical legal community as an academic physician, former private practice owner, nurse practitioner supervisor, and trainer to physician extenders. Her expert witness testimony services include:  General dermatology and complex dermatology cases, cosmetic scars, aesthetic procedures, cosmetic injectables, dermal fillers, BOTOX, lasers, Stevens Johnson Syndrome, drug eruptions, skin burns, basal cell carcinoma, melanoma, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, dermatologic surgery, bed bug bites, and more.

Dr. Parker is committed to addressing the challenges of climate change both as a scientist and as a practicing physician. She consults with solo physicians, multi-disciplinary practices, and hospital and healthcare systems to reduce costs and use their existing resources more efficiently to reduce waste and carbon footprints to accelerate sustainability. Dr. Parker also consults with medical groups and businesses to assess risks, engage stakeholders, and integrate realistic greening opportunities into the planning and operations conversation in order to prepare for climate challenges with insight and sound analysis focused on ROI and positive outcomes.
